Our Story

Built from Real OSHC Experience

The OSHC Studio began from a very personal place.

When I first stepped into the role of Service Leader, I was still new to the OSHC sector and felt like a small fish in a very big pond. I was passionate and ambitious, and I wanted to build a service that children, families and educators could be proud of.

I did not simply want my service to operate well. I wanted it to grow, achieve and become an exceeding-quality service.

The challenge was that I did not always know where to begin.

There were limited OSHC-specific training opportunities, very few practical administrative resources and not enough ready-to-use materials designed for primary-aged children. I searched Etsy for OSHC bundles, browsed Google for templates and looked everywhere for resources created specifically for the sector.

There were some useful options, but not many.

So, I began creating what I could not find.

I developed templates, programming tools, posters, activity resources and practical systems to support the everyday needs of my service. As I gained experience, stepped into new leadership opportunities and continued learning, those resources grew alongside me.

Slowly but surely, The OSHC Studio began to take shape.

What started as a way to support my own practice became something that could support educators and services across Australia.

Today, The OSHC Studio provides practical resources, professional development, training and guidance grounded in real OSHC experience. We understand the busy afternoons, competing priorities, documentation demands and pressure to deliver high-quality experiences with limited time and support.

Our purpose is to make quality practice feel clearer, more achievable and less overwhelming.

Because no educator should feel like they have to figure everything out alone.
